Sysco’s Executive Rewards Program provides competitive compensation and benefits programs for our executive leaders that enhance the comprehensive rewards package available to other Sysco associates and recognize the critical leadership role our executives play in driving Sysco’s success. This group is commonly referred to as the MIP group, as they are participants in the Management Incentive Plan (MIP).

Long-Term Care Insurance – Special Enrollment Period

There is a special enrollment period for Long-Term Care Insurance from August 16 to September 2, 2022.

Long-Term Care Insurance Overview

Long-Term Care (LTC) Insurance base coverage is provided by Sysco at no cost to you and is not subject to medical underwriting. This base coverage offers a benefit of up to $2,000 per month for up to three years (i.e., a lifetime maximum of $72,000). After a 90-day waiting period, benefits are paid for:

  • Care provided in your home by a professional
  • Services in an assisted living facility or long-term care facility

Additional Coverage

In addition to LTC benefits provided by Sysco, you can purchase additional coverage for yourself. If you purchase this during your initial enrollment period (your initial enrollment period begins on your MIP Entry Date and ends after 30 days), there is no medical underwriting. You can:

  • Increase coverage up to $6,000 per month (i.e., an additional $4,000)
  • Extend the duration to six years
  • Add inflation protection

With medical underwriting, you can:

  • Increase coverage up to $8,000 per month (i.e., an additional $6,000)
  • Obtain coverage for an unlimited duration
  • Expand home care coverage to include an informal caregiver (e.g., a relative)

If You Leave Sysco

When your employment ends, you may convert your coverage to an individual policy at the same rate and coverage level.
