You have two dental plan options through MetLife: Basic and Premium. The main difference between the two plans are the deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums and orthodontia coverage. To learn about the exact differences, click here.

Using Your Dental Plan

Seeing a dentist in the MetLife network will get you the most bang for your buck. When you make an appointment, share that you have MetLife coverage and provide your name and date of birth, along with MetLife’s phone number so they can verify your eligibility: 1-800-942-0854. For dental services that cost more than $300, contact MetLife to receive a pre-determination of benefits. Then you’ll know what you can expect to pay out of your own pocket.
