Hawaii Benefits

Explore Your Hawaii Benefits
Because you live in Hawaii, your medical benefit options have unique state requirements and are different from the medical benefits we offer to Sysco colleagues who live on the mainland. This page provides an overview of your Hawaii-specific benefits. Be sure to explore the rest of this site for details about your other Sysco benefits.
Read this mailer for an overview of changes and enhancements to your benefits for 2026. Then, check out the What's Changing page for more information, but note that you may not be eligible for all benefits.
Rates
In 2026, medical rates will increase by 7%–26% per month due to rising health care costs and increases in claims. Your actual costs will vary based on the medical plan you elect and your rate tier.
Vision rates will increase slightly by 1.2%.
Dental rates are NOT changing for 2026.
The majority of our programs you pay premiums for will also not experience rate increases.
Rates for 2026 are available in the online Sysco Benefits Center.
Hawaii Medical Plans
Sysco offers Hawaii colleagues three different plan options through Kaiser Hawaii and HMSA. In-network preventive care is covered at 100% in all plans:
Kaiser HMO
The Kaiser HMO (health maintenance organization) provides in-network coverage only and focuses on preventive care—including routine visits, physical exams, well-baby care, and immunizations—along with treatment for illness and injury.
Your providers and facilities work together to provide you with quality medical care services. The Kaiser HMO provides access to routine services with your own PCP, inpatient hospital, laboratory, pharmacy, and other facilities.
HMSA PPO and HPH Plans
The PPOÂ plan covers in- and out-of-network care.
The HPHÂ plan covers in-network care only.
Both plans have an annual deductible of $0 for in-network care. You pay copays for doctor’s and specialist visits, which vary based on the plan. The annual copay maximum for the plans is $2,500 for single coverage and $7,500 for family coverage. For most other services, you pay coinsurance, which varies depending on the service and the plan you are enrolled in.
Important Reminders
Keep the following in mind as you enroll in, and use, your Sysco benefits.
Make Sure Your Current Providers are In-Network
Occasionally, providers move networks. Take a moment to make sure your providers are in the network.
If Both You and Your Spouse or Domestic Partner Work at Sysco
If you and your spouse or domestic partner are both eligible to enroll in the Sysco Health and Welfare plans, you can select one of the enrollment options* below:
- You may each enroll independently/separately in Sysco benefits
OR - You may cover your spouse as an eligible dependent under your plan (or vice versa)
* You cannot elect both options 1 and 2. A Sysco colleague cannot be covered as both a dependent and a colleague under the plan. Likewise, children may only be covered as a dependent by one parent or domestic partner—not both.
If You are a New Hire or Newly Eligible
If you are a new hire or are newly eligible for Sysco benefits, go to the New Hire page for valuable resources and information.
