Support from Health Advocates

Your Sysco-sponsored national medical plan, administered by BCBS, includes support for you and your covered family members from nurses and other medical professionals at no cost to you.

Additional HAS Programs

High-Risk Maternity Management

Members with high-risk pregnancies receive clinical support designed to promote a healthy start for both parent and baby, including educational resources, risk-factor identification, ongoing communication and monitoring, and access to an online resource center from early pregnancy through six weeks postpartum.

Diabetes Navigation Support

Members receive guidance from a certified diabetes educator who helps them manage this complex condition through personalized education, medication support, cost-saving opportunities, and more.

Cancer Services and Support through AccessHope

Connects members to renowned expertise from some of the best cancer centers in the country. Services include:

  • Cancer Support Line: Prepare for upcoming doctor appointments, find out about available cancer treatments, or reach out for emotional support. AccessHope’s experienced oncology nurses can help you navigate the complexities of cancer care over the phone, from the comfort of your home.‍
  • Expert Advisory Review: Get groundbreaking insights and recommendations on advanced therapies. AccessHope’s team of specialized experts reviews your diagnosis and works with your local physician to ensure you receive the best treatment plan for your type of cancer.
End-of-Life Planning

When members must face the reality of end-of-life planning, a specialized advocate is available to support anticipated needs, provide education and guidance on medical, financial, and emotional support, and help facilitate informed decision making.

Veteran Support

A specialized team can support members having challenges navigating their VA benefits and provide resources so veterans can identify benefits they are eligible for.

Caregiver Support

Support is available to help members who serve as primary or secondary caregivers for an aging parent or in-law, or for an adult or child with a disability or other complex health needs.

Well onTarget Wellness Program

BCBS Well onTarget is a wellness program that provides tools, resources, and incentives to help you achieve health goals. The program features online health and fitness programs, health assessments for personalized reports, and a fitness program that offers access to a network of gyms and studios. You can earn Blue Points for participating in activities, which can be redeemed for rewards.

Weight Management Program

As part of Well onTarget, you may have access to a digital weight management program (depending on your BMI) through BCBS. In addition, you may also have access to a personal wellness coach who can help you with goal-setting, lifestyle changes, and motivation via phone or secure messaging.

Gender Affirmation

Helping transgender and gender-diverse members navigate unique complexities while providing whole person support—medical, behavioral, and social care.

Tobacco Cessation Program

If you need help to quit smoking, BCBS is here for you.

  • Register for the BCBS tobacco cessation program. Contact HAS at 1-866-491-4911 for information.
  • Certain tobacco cessation medications may be covered under your Sysco-sponsored national medical plan through BCBS. If you’d like to take medication to help you quit, talk to your doctor.
  • If you have been tobacco free for at least three months, submit your completed, notarized Tobacco Free Certificate Form through the online Sysco Benefits Center by December 1 to have the tobacco surcharge removed from your medical plan.
