Teladoc is Sysco’s Telehealth administrator. When you enroll in a Sysco-sponsored medical plan, you automatically have access to the Telehealth plan.
Telehealth through Teladoc allows you to resolve minor medical issues quickly, easily and remotely. You will have access to board-certified, telemedicine-trained doctors via phone, mobile and video 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If it’s after hours or you can’t get to the doctor’s office, Teladoc connects you with board-certified doctors. They can treat many non-emergency medical issues by phone or video. This may help you avoid urgent care and emergency room visits, which can be costly and time-consuming. It’s easy to use—you can speak to a doctor “on demand” in minutes or schedule a time that’s more convenient for you. These doctors can resolve common health issues by answering questions, diagnosing illnesses, providing referrals or writing prescriptions as needed.
You and your covered family members can receive treatment within minutes for non-emergency, acute general medical needs like:
When you need non-emergency care, go to Teladoc.com/aetna, call 1-800-Teladoc or use the Teladoc mobile app. You’ll be connected with a board-certified doctor who will consult with you about your illness. The doctor will recommend treatment based on your symptoms. If you need a prescription, the doctor will send it to your preferred pharmacy. If you need care beyond what Telehealth can provide, you’ll be referred to your doctor.
The cost of medical consultations with a doctor will be the same as a PCP or Specialist office visit for your individual plan. For more details about cost, see the information about each plan in the Medical section of this eGuide.
Register with Teladoc in advance so that when you need care later on, you can speak with a doctor even more quickly. Register on Teladoc.com/aetna or at 1-800-Teladoc. You’ll need the primary member’s name and date of birth, your Aetna subscriber ID and the names and dosages of any prescriptions you’re taking.
