MDLIVE is Sysco’s Telehealth administrator. When you enroll in any Sysco-sponsored medical plan in this eGuide, you automatically have access to the Telehealth plan.

Why Should I Use Telehealth?

Telehealth is an easy and cost-efficient alternative to expensive ER and urgent care visits. It’s available 24/7/365 over the phone or video chat — from the comfort of your home. It’s a great option when:

  • You need treatment for a minor illness such as: allergies, asthma, cold and flu symptoms, headaches, sinus trouble, respiratory and urinary tract infections, insect bites or rash
  • Your work hours make it difficult to schedule a doctor’s appointment
  • Your regular doctor is booked or wait times are longer than normal

How Does It Work?

When you need non-emergency care, go to, call 1-888-723-1913 or use the MDLIVE mobile app. You’ll be connected with a board-certified doctor who will consult with you about your illness. The doctor will recommend treatment based on your symptoms. If you need a prescription, the doctor will send it to your preferred pharmacy. If you need care beyond what Telehealth can provide, you’ll be referred to your doctor.  

How Much Does It Cost?

Medical consultations with a doctor or pediatrician are $25 for participants in the Basic, PPO and HMO medical plans. Medical consultations for participants in the HSA plan are $4 after the deductible is met. For more details about cost, see the information about each plan in the Medical section of this eGuide.

Register BEFORE You Need Care

Register with MDLIVE in advance so that when you need care later on, you can speak with a doctor even more quickly. Register on or at 1-888-723-1913. You’ll need the primary member’s name and date of birth, your BlueCross BlueShield subscriber ID and the names and dosages of any prescriptions you’re taking.
