Take Note: 2025 Annual Benefits Enrollment

Most of your current benefit elections will carry forward to 2025. You do not need to actively enroll this year, unless you want to:

  • Enroll for the first time.
  • Make changes to your current benefit plans and/or dependents.
  • Elect a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) contribution amount for 2025.

If you do not take action during Annual Benefits Enrollment, your next opportunity to change your benefits will be next year’s annual enrollment period unless you experience a qualifying life event, such as getting married or having a baby.

Note: If you are currently enrolled in a local HMO plan, you will be contacted if there are changes to your medical benefits for 2025.

Benefits Changes for 2025

2025 Benefit Plan Rates

Due to rising healthcare costs and increases in claims, in 2025, dental rates will increase by an average of $8 to $10 a month, and medical rates will increase by an average of $30 to $40 a month. Your actual costs will vary based on the medical and dental plan you elect and your rate tier. You will notice a small decrease in your monthly vision rates for 2025.

The 2025 rates for all benefits will be available in the Total Rewards Café by October 28.

2025 Rate Structure

Beginning January 1, the medical plan rate structure is changing. We are moving to wage bands based on regular earnings. For most colleagues, regular earnings will be your base salary as of October 1. The new 2025 rate structure will be based on your yearly salary, as follows:

  • Under $75,000
  • $75,000 to $150,000
  • Over $150,000

Some locations and MIP colleagues may have different rate structures. Union rates and rate structures are subject to your collective bargaining agreement. The 2025 rates for all benefits will be available in the Total Rewards Café by October 28.

Savings and Spending Account 2024 Limits

These are the limits for 2025:

  • The Health Savings Account (HSA) 2025 limits will be $4,300 for individual coverage and $8,550 for family coverage. Catch-up contributions of $1,000 are allowed if you are at least 55 years of age (includes those who will turn age 55 by the calendar year end).
  • In 2025, you can save from $100 up to the 2025 IRS limit in the Health Care FSA. You will only be able to carry over the maximum IRS carry over limit to your Health Care FSA from 2025 for use in 2026.
  • In 2025, you can save from $100 up to the 2025 IRS limit in the Limited Purpose FSA.
  • The 2025 Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) limit is $5,000 unless you and your spouse or domestic partner file separate tax returns, in which case, the most you can save is $2,500.

ID Cards

If you enroll in a Sysco-sponsored national medical plan for the first time or change plans for 2025, you will receive a medical ID card from Aetna in early January sent to the home address you have on file. You will not get a new medical plan ID card if you do not change plans for 2025.

Important Reminders

Make Sure Your Current Providers are in the Network

Occasionally, providers move networks. Take a moment to make sure your providers are in the network. To see if your medical, dental, behavioral health, and other providers are in the Aetna network, click here. You will be prompted to select a plan name. The plan names are:

If Both You and Your Spouse or Domestic Partner Work at Sysco

If you and your spouse or domestic partner are both eligible to enroll in the Sysco Health and Welfare plans, you can select one of the below enrollment options:

  1. You may each enroll independently/separately in Sysco benefits
    OR
  2. You may cover your spouse as an eligible dependent under your plan (or vice versa)

Please note—you cannot elect both option 1 and 2. No Sysco colleague can be covered as both a dependent and a colleague under the plan.

In addition, your child(ren) cannot be covered as a dependent by both you and your spouse or domestic partner. Only one of you can cover your eligible child(ren).

Provide Dependent Verification Documentation by November 22

To meet compliance requirements and help manage rising health care costs, if you were hired before September 1, 2023, you will need to provide dependent verification documentation from October 28 to November 22, 2024.

You will need to provide documentation that verifies your dependents are eligible to participate in our benefit programs in 2025. Documentation includes, but is not limited to:

  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of marriage (and joint ownership paperwork, such as a mortgage if the date of marriage is not within the past 12 months)
  • Adoption records
  • Legal guardianship records
  • Domestic partner affidavit

Click here to see a full list of the required documentation and instructions on how to submit it.

If you don't have the required documentation, act now so you do not miss the November 22 deadline.
